Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Days of Golf ("we," "us," or "our") collects when you use our website and Service, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account details: name, email address, and password.
  • Profile details you choose to add: phone number, zip code, social media handles, profile photos, gender, handedness, apparel/equipment sizes, dietary and accessibility notes, and similar preferences.
  • Plan and event content: golf plans and events you create, invitations you send, RSVPs, and contacts you add.
  • Course reviews and ratings you submit for courses you've played.
  • Messages you send us through the Contact Us form, including your name, email, and message.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data such as pages visited and general interaction with the Service, via analytics tools we use.
  • Standard technical data (e.g. IP address, browser type) captured by our hosting and analytics providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the Service: creating your account, displaying your plans, and delivering invitations and RSVPs to the people you invite.
  • To send transactional emails: account confirmation, password resets, invitations, and RSVP notifications.
  • To respond to messages sent through our Contact Us form.
  • To display course reviews to other users of the course directory.
  • To maintain the security of the Service and prevent abuse.
  • To understand aggregate usage of the Service via analytics, so we can improve it.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With people you invite or connect with: plan details, RSVPs, contact information, profile photos, and other profile details you choose to share are visible to the relevant members of your plan.
  • With service providers who help us run the Service, such as our email delivery, hosting, mapping, and analytics providers.
  • For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Days of Golf or our users.

4. Third-Party Links

Our course directory and other pages may link to third-party websites, booking tools, or products, including affiliate links. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we don't control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them any information.

5. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Service in aggregate. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Service may not function properly without them.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll process your request, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

  • You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from your account settings.
  • You can request a copy of, correction to, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails; transactional emails necessary to operate your account (e.g. password resets) will still be sent.

9. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act), including the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion or correction of your information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us.
